Still Ponder "my word" for 2011

Leaning towards Hope ~ why?! Because I need to have hope and lots of it baby! I also feel it lines up with Believe to carry along that line of thinking.

Hope is a noun and a verb....

–noun
1. the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best: to give up hope.
2. a particular instance of this feeling: the hope of winning.
3. grounds for this feeling in a particular instance: There is little or no hope of his recovery.
4. a person or thing in which expectations are centered: The medicine was her last hope.
5. something that is hoped for: Her forgiveness is my constant hope.
–verb (used with object)
6. to look forward to with desire and reasonable confidence.
7. to believe, desire, or trust: I hope that my work will be satisfactory.
–verb (used without object)
8. to feel that something desired may happen: We hope for an early spring.
9. Archaic . to place trust; rely (usually fol. by in ).
—Idiom
10. hope against hope, to continue to hope, although the outlook does not warrant it: We are hoping against hope for a change in her condition.

I have hope in a brighter future, hope in things not seen, hope for things to come, hope for success, hope that I will have positive thinking again, hope that my 2011 is better than my 2010 has been!!

OK, so I have what ... one more day to decide for sure on HOPE for my word for 2011?

onward and downward (with hope)....

Word for 2011?

My word for 2010 was Believe.

–verb (used without object)
1. to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so: Only if one believes in something can one act purposefully.

–verb (used with object)
2. to have confidence or faith in the truth of (a positive assertion, story, etc.); give credence to.
3. to have confidence in the assertions of (a person).
4. to have a conviction that (a person or thing) is, has been, or will be engaged in a given action or involved in a given situation: The fugitive is believed to be headed for the Mexican border.
5. to suppose or assume; understand (usually fol. by a noun clause): I believe that he has left town.

I still Believe in many things, I Believe in things not seen, things hoped for, things to be possible....

For 2011 I've been thinking about my word for a few days now. I am leaning towards the word positive. Why? Because of all the negative in my life, my surroundings, my thinking. I need my positive focus back. Only thing is positive is not a verb so how can I take action on it? It's an adjective or a noun. HHHhmmmmmm Still pondering my word for 2011 ~ you?!

Merry CHRISTmas Ya'll!!

So it's been awhile AGAIN since I posted....

This whole move, new business, empty nest thing is taking a toll on me, my emotions and my life!

Thanksgiving came and went.....rough day but we made it through, grilled some food, had a big dinner and carried on.

Now it's CHRISTmas morning and I am missing my boys something fierce. Missing our traditions of CHRISTmas morning.....baking monkey bread (singing happy birthday to Jesus before we eat it), making sausage balls, opening a few gifts, etc. CHRISTmas morning is just not the same without our family being together. I have cried off and on all morning...even blew the nose bling out of my nose once ~ excitement for the day?!

It is snowing here in the mountains, very pretty outside, I have no desire to get out in it.

The husband has crawled back into the bed. Maybe if we cover our heads the day will go away.

I did no family CHRISTmas letter this year (every time I tried to write it I couldn't), no CHRISTmas cards, no CHRISTmas tree (just a few decorations up in the office around the front desk), got no groceries for our normal CHRISTmas foods (we have no oven ~ only a grill and a crockpot), so yes it doesn't feel like CHRISTmas @ all to me. Guess I should have done better and planned better....I stink.

All that being written.......Merry CHRISTmas to ya'll!!
